As part of our topic Water and its effects on the environment, our classes paid a visit to the seaside town of Flamboroughon the East coast ofYorkshire.
Whilst there we observed the effects that the sea has had on the landscape, visited the lighthouse and explored the rocks on the beach!
We learnt about how the sea had eroded and altered the landscape, including how it had created undercuts, caves, stacks and blow-holes.
The lighthouse was fascinating! The guide explained how the lighthouse operates and told us lots of interesting facts! Did you know that we had to climb up 119 steps to get to the top? It was worth it though as the view when we got there was amazing!
