During afternoon sessions we have lots of activities happening in Y4B. Today, we were learning about historical figures. After our input our independent activity was to create a wanted poster for Robin Hood or one of his Merry Men. We had to remember to write from the perspective of The Sheriff of Nottingham. Meanwhile, a group worked with Mrs Cliff creating frames for our weaving made from natural materials which Robin would have been able to make in the forest. Miss Botham also worked with a group to edit and publish their non-chronological report on Sherwood Forest and the tales of Robin Hood.
We really enjoy this way of learning as it allows us to have lots of support from the adults in our class to develop our skills across the curriculum.
