This week we participated in an immersive drama workshop about our current learning topic, The Great Fire of London.
We did freeze frames of the events of 1666. We met Thomas Farriner and Samuel Pepys and were able to use improvisation to immerse ourselves in the story. We learned and performed a poem and a song during the sessions, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all of our children. This has fully supported our writing this week, with the use of ambitious vocabulary and lots of factual information about the events that took place.
If you want to know about The Great Fire of London, our children can tell you all about it in actions, words or song!
