Today our Science Ambassadors spent a morning at Shireoaks marina learning all about narrowboats, the physics behind locks, what a cuckoo is and what it is used for and did a spot of pond dipping. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable morning and learnt lots to share back in school. We even learnt some new words linked to how a lock works. I wonder if they can remember them? The children asked lots of questions to further their knowledge and used their teamwork skills to operate the locks.
