Y1/2B composed their own carnival of animals

We used tempo, metre and rhythm to make a composition.

Starting with a mouse beat… 

 …then using instruments, we added metre (pattern) and rhythm to represent our mice.

 
Elephants had a beat…
    
    
  …that turned into a composition.  

Bunnies had a beat…

…that inspired a piece of bunny music.

 
The final beat was the tortoise… 

…a popular choice that inspired this composition.

The children enjoyed using standard and non-standard instruments to make their sounds. 

We had some amazing teamwork today 😃
