Y3/4M have been extremely lucky to have been invited by the council to help plant trees along Fenton Road. We used excellent teamwork skills, and were not afraid to get our hands dirty!
Miss Mills’ group decided to create a ‘teamwork tree’ that they all helped plant, and even marked it with a large stone so they know which tree it is when they return!
We hope this will encourage more wildlife to our local environment, as well as helping the world as we have already discussed how trees help produce oxygen. It was also great to work alongside Y3M from Rockingham Junior and Infants school, who we worked closely with during our time at Rockingham.
Imagine, in years to come we can take our children and grandchildren to the site and tell them we helped plant the trees!
