Today at Greasbrough we had an assembly about something very important.

Here in the UK October is Black History Month. Mrs Cook lead an assembly all about famous black people in history and why their actions have such a significant impact on our lives.

We then read a very inspirational story all about Harriet Tubman and the people she rescued.

We finished our assembly by discussing famous black musicians and sports stars we would like to learn more about such as Mo Farah, Serena Williams, BB King, Simone Biles, Marcus Rashford, Nicola Adams, Usain Bolt, Lebron James and Jason Derulo.

We’re really excited to learn more as the month goes on!
