Today saw the start of Poetry week at Greasbrough and we kicked it off with me sharing a few of my favourite poems with the children. I used to love reading the poem called “My teacher” as a child as it reminded me of my reception teacher Mrs Baker. I bought in some poetry books from home and they were fascinated by the one I’d had since I was a child. They couldn’t believe they were looking at a book as old as me!

We also looked at some Winter Poems that linked to our winter text from last week.
