Last stop on our jam-packed day: Shakespeare’s School room. We were lucky enough to sit in the same room that Shakespere sat in to attend school, almost 500 years ago. We learned about what a day at school would be like at this time, with long 11 hour days, 6 days a week! We also were taught some Latin, in the same way Shakespeare would have done and had a try at writing with a quill. Greasbrough pupils impressed the staff with their knowledge about the use of Latin within religion at this time, the difference in the education between rich & poor and males & females!
