Y3/4 had a wonderful time exploring the village of Eyam and comparing the Plague to Covid. First we visited the museum to learn all about how the Plague arrived in Eyam and the effect it had. After that we undertook the long walk to the boundary stone where we learnt how the villagers got food. We even had our lunch there, with a few visitors! After lunch we met the rest of the children for an ice cream before continuing our adventure. Lastly we looked at the plague cottages and visited the church and the graveyard where we saw the magnificent plague stained glass window. We had a wonderful time and even had some sleepers on the way home.
