This afternoon at cooking club we baked chocolate chip cookies. We were so busy concentrating on accurately weighing and measuring that we didn’t have time to take many photos.
Here is the recipe we used if you want to try it at home
- 125g butter , softened
- 125g caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence or extract
- 200g self-raising flour , plus extra for dusting
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 50g milk or white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)
Pre heat the oven to 185c and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Put all of the ingredients in a bowl, mix together with your hands until combined into a dough and then split into 12 even balls.
Place the balls on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
