Acorns have had a lovely week learning about the festival of lights, Diwali! We started the week in our celebration clothes, we watched traditional dancing and danced along to traditional music.

We watched fireworks and then had a go at drawing our own.

We also created fireworks using cut cardboard tubes to make a print.

We watched a video of a girl decorating her house with Rangoli patterns, then created our own Rangoli inspired paintings. We only painted one side, then folded the paper – it was so exciting to see the pattern transfer onto the other side!
