Dear Parents and Carers
As Executive Head Teacher and Head of School, it gives us great pleasure to welcome you to our website; we are very proud of your children’s achievements at Greasbrough Primary School and we know that this is one way we can share them with you.
Greasbrough Primary School is a partner school in Willow Tree Academy which was born out of the aspiration that all children should have the same entitlement to the profound primary educational experience they deserve. We ensure all our children are safe from harm and build the emotional resilience, values, skills and knowledge that they need to go on to lead happy and fulfilling lives. We are proud to tell you that our outstanding provision means Greasbrough is officially a good school with outstanding features!
Greasbrough Primary School mission statement states our commitment to ‘out children at the heart of everything we do’ and we are fortunate to have such an incredibly talented team who ensure your children have the very best education possible. They all offer great commitment to your children and to the community of Herringthorpe.
Our multi-cultural school is built on the British Values of respect and empathy. Teamwork, creativity, taking responsibility, and enabling a high sense of personal self-esteem are just some of the qualities that we aim to develop in your children. Through our Restorative Practice approach, we enable your children to care for each other and to learn and play together well.
Each year the school goes from strength to strength and our website reflects the amazing experiences that the children access – we believe every day is special and no time can be wasted in the pursuit of excellence. To be able to do this we need to work in partnership with you. You are the first and foremost educators of your children and we value your support and time with Home Learning and most importantly, helping your child to read at home. Thank You!
This website is designed to be a valuable source of school news and information that will help you to understand our vibrant curriculum too and the wonderful opportunities open to all. It also has many exciting links to engage and support you in supporting your child. So, do please encourage your children to use these, especially Sum Dog, Espresso Home Access, Active Learn and LanguageNut (which supports our French teaching and learning) and Charanga Music, your child has personal logins for these.
Please take time to browse the galleries and blogs, you will love the photographs; you can even watch films made by the children! Don’t forget to visit the residential blogs and follow us on Twitter, they are phenomenal!
Welcome to our school, enjoy our website!
