Please note that from September 2016 the price of school meals has increased to £2.05 a day.
All our school meals are cooked on site. We serve banded meals where there is a choice of 3 meals on a daily basis. Two hot meals are served every day, along with a chilled choice. A freshly prepared salad bar is also accessible to all children having a school meal. All children sit and eat together in our school hall. Children are expected to use a knife and fork to eat their lunch.
Lunch Money is collected on a Monday for the week’s meals. Parents/Carers are asked to send money for the week in an envelope marked with the child’s name, class name and the amount enclosed. Envelopes are available to purchase from school Reception.
If you think your child may be eligible for Free School Meals please obtain a claim form from Reception. More Info Here
Please note all children in KS1 are entitled to Universal Free School meals.
We understand that packed lunches are preferred by some parents. As a healthy school we encourage the children to eat healthy meals therefore we would kindly ask that children do not bring crisps or chocolate in their packed lunch, more information on healthy packed lunches can be found here. Cutlery, if needed should be included with the meal, in a lunch box labelled with the child’s name. The child will bring home any uneaten food and wrappers. Water is provided. If you would prefer your child to drink juice with their meal, please include this in a plastic/polythene container or a carton. Glass bottles or jars are not allowed, for safety reasons.
Children are encouraged to drink water during the day-Brain Juice. No other drink is allowed during class time.
