Music Overview

Music at Greasbrough allows children to love music. We want them to have no limits to what their ambitions are and grow up knowing they can be music producers, songwriters, composers or rockstars! Our vision, at Greasbrough, is to give children access to an engaging and fun music curriculum reflecting the world they live in now, but at the same time giving them access to musical styles throughout history.

Our assemblies music programme allows children opportunities to listen to different composers and artists throughout the year and different styles of music.  Music appreciation takes place during assemblies and children are provided with sentence stems to support them in sharing their views.

As a school we follow the Charanga music scheme to ensure clear coverage across the key stages.
