Wow, what an amazing first trip for Y1/2BA! We had an amazing day Yorkshire Wildlife Park as part of our topic “Fur, Feathers and Skin.”
We travelled by coach which was super exciting and a first for some of us.
During our visit, we saw polar bears, giraffes, tigers, lions, baboons, rhinos and even walked with the walabies.
We had our packed lunches outside, which was a lovely treat even if it was a little windy.
In our workshop we learnt all about lions, tigers, polar bears and cheetahs. We talked about how they survive in the wild including how they camouflage to protect themselves.
During our visit we also looked at what the different animals eat – ask us what a carnivore or a herbivore is.
Our teachers are super proud of us all today!
