Welcome to Year 3/4S!

Our teachers are Miss Steinert and Mrs Glynn.  We are going to have the best time together! To start the year off we will be learning about those who came before us and have experienced creating fire, foraging in the woods and playing archery in Clifton park with a stone age elder!  Looking ahead to the colder weather we will be participating in the upcoming KS2 Christmas play which we are so excited about!

After Christmas, we will move onto our next topic which will look at our own heritage of steel and look at where we belong in history!

During the summer term, some of the children will be experiencing their first residential trip to Eyam to learn all about the dreaded plague that quarantined a whole village for many years!  The year 4’s will be using their resilience skills and be staying with Mrs Morton and Miss Steinert for 2 nights and exploring all the amazing sights of Eyam whereas the year 3’s will also be joining us for 1 night on a huge adventure! 

Each week the children will participate in PE on a Tuesday and year 3 will also receive music lessons from Mr Outram resulting in attending the Big String concert. But don’t worry, year 4, you have got young voices and swimming lessons to look forward to in the upcoming months!
