Today we started our new RE unit looking at what matters to Christians at Christmas. We started off by talking about different celebrations the children knew and had learnt about previously. We then focused on birthdays and what happened at birthday parties. The children knew that Christmas is a time when Christian’s celebrate Jesus’s birthday. Today we had our own birthday party and sang Happy Birthday, ate birthday cake, played party games and wore party hats. It was made more special as it was Mrs Cook’s birthday today!
