This afternoon we started our first coding session. We even learned what the word algorithm meant. First we completed some ‘unplugged’ coding activities before moving on to prediction using the Beebot. We went outside and used some of the new computing language we had learned to ‘code’ our partner to get to a given point. We then looked at the different buttons on a Beebot and their function. Finally we were given the opportunity to have a go with a Beebot, predicting what might happen when we used certain function buttons.
