This week in Little Acorns, we’ve been celebrating with everyone’s favourite mischievous bunny – Peter Rabbit! the children loved sharing the story Happy Birthday, Peter Rabbit and talking all about what happens to him on his special day.
We also joined in a fun activity with our furry friend Willow the Squirrel! The children took turns choosing items and pictures from Willow’s bag and talked about them, focussing on the initial sounds, for example: “p,p,p, – party”.
A delicious cake was even made for Peter using play dough. Such a lovely use of the children’s imaginations and fine motor skills. What a wonderful way to celebrate Peter Rabbit’s birthday and our love of stories in Little Acorns.
