Today we have started to make our London buses from our plans. First we had to experiment with different ways of joining materials to create the main structure for our bus. We tried sellotape, staples, glue sticks, PVA glue and a glue gun. We had to use our resilience skills as some of the methods were challenging. From this we learnt that the best way to join material was using the glue gun.
After we had done this we needed to measure and cut our axle. We used non-standard units (cubes) to measure the width of our bus and then measure the dowel. We then had to carefully use the saw to cut the dowel. We used great resilience, teamwork and communication to prepare the pieces to make our buses.
