Today the children in Year 1 learnt all about VE Day and what it signifies. Children enjoyed listening to wartime music whilst making sandwiches (supported by our wonderful Year 6’s), creating bunting and decorating a bun. The children then enjoyed a picnic in the afternoon following a service of remembrance where one of our parents played the Last Post and we sang the National Anthem. We had a great day!
