This afternoon, Year 6 visited Greabrough library. As we are currently learning about the Tudors, the library staff had prepared us a poem about King Henry VIII and his many wives! It was a fantastic performance poem, which included lots of historical facts. The children already know so much about the Tudors that they were able to join in with some of the facts in the poem: they even taught the library staff some of the historical vocabulary that we have learnt recently, such as ‘monarch’ and ‘dynasty’. The children explored some Tudor books and completed a Tudor wordsearch. They enjoyed sharing their books with a partner.
