Away from the Desk
At Greasbrough Primary School we know that children learn well through practical learning activities therefore our experienced teachers plan activities for away from the desk learning. This covers a whole range of subjects and learning is evidenced through photos, videos and QR codes in the children’s topic folders. Feedback from children is extremely positive and assessment shows that children retain their learning well. Some examples of outdoor/away from the desk learning can be found below.
Outdoors Chestnuts and Acorns were working together as a team to build an obstacle course. This helped them enhance their co-ordination, balancing and gross motor skills. This also involved working hard to problem solve as they manoeuvred through the course.
