The Daily Mile
HomeThe Daily Mile
The Daily Mile has become part of our school routine.
The aim of the Daily Mile is to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of our children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances.
The children enjoy walking, jogging or running – at their own pace – with their friends – in the fresh air. Every child within our school community has the opportunity to take part in the Daily Mile each lunchtime, supported by our lunchtime staff.
How it Works!
- It takes 15 minutes, with most children averaging a mile or more.
- Children are outside in the fresh air.
- No equipment required.
- It’s social, non-competitive and fun.
- Children return to class ready to learn.
- It helps improve fitness.
- It’s fully inclusive.
