Our PE day is Friday and homework is set every Friday and handed in on the following Thursday. Our homework always consists of maths, reading and spelling. 

 

We cover lots of exciting topics in Y5 including Coasts, Entertainment and World War 2. To support our learning in the classroom, we go on lots of amazing trips too! In the Autumn term, we go on a day trip to Flamborough to learn about the coast and we also go on a one night residential to London to visit the Royal Opera House! In Spring term, we visit Stratford where Shakespeare was born and then in the Summer term we go to the Stockport Air Raid Shelters to learn about World War 2. 

 

We are also lucky enough to have great music opportunities in Y5. We spend the year learning a brass instrument and then perform at the Big Blast concert.
