ActiveLearn is designed to support your child with their reading skills. this interactive site allows teachers to assign books to your child. Your child should read these books and answer the questions as they go along.

Phonics

In phonics we are currently learning Phase 3 phonemes. We are now able to read most CVC words. The file below contains some examples of CVC words for you to practice with your child. The handwriting slides will show you how we teach the children to form their letters.

We also learn high frequency words. These are words that your child cannot sound out. They need to know these words by sight.
